Mission Statement<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The mission of the Ocean Palms Counseling Program is to maximize every student\u2019s social, educational and career development potential in order to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners. This is accomplished through a partnership with parents\/guardians, staff, and community members. It will enable all students to become successful, productive citizens and lifelong learners in a diverse and changing world.<\/p>

What is a comprehensive School Counseling program?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

\u201cA comprehensive school counseling program is an integral component of the school\u2019s mission. Comprehensive school counseling programs, driven by student data and based on the American School Counselor Association\u2019s National Model: \u2022 ensure equitable access to a rigorous education for all students \u2022 identify the knowledge and skills all students will acquire as a result of the K\u201312 comprehensive school counseling program \u2022 are delivered to all students in a systematic fashion \u2022 are based on data-driven decision making \u2022 are provided by a state-credentialed school counselor\u201d<\/p>
